Non-threats and actual threats
There are no valid arguments against the Iran nuclear deal. None. This is another political topic for which the news media has planted the goal posts in the wrong place. It's a non-issue because Iran is not a nuclear threat. There is nothing in it for them to initiate a nuclear strike on Israel. Such an action would lead quickly to their annihilation. As for the violation of international law on nuclear proliferation, we have already accepted the right of Israel, India, and Pakistan to develop nuclear weapons, and Iran is asking for something less-- to develop only nuclear capability, the ability to develop weapons if they later choose. That's not a crime, and the U.S. has no-- and should have no-- authority to dictate to them.Iran has been living under a constant military threat since 1979. The U.N. charter outlaws the threat of force, which Iran experiences every time the U.S. says that "all options are on the table." Iran's clerical leaders are a threat to the people of Iran, but nobody else.
The world is calling for this deal to happen. Where did the idea originate that says we should purposely cast adrift part of the Muslim world, through sanctions, when the number one priority of our national foreign policy should be precisely the opposite? Anybody that opposes diplomacy with Iran is telling us they want war with Iran. It's that simple.

Every criticism of Israel is labeled by some to be anti-Semitic in nature. I feel like we're starting to experience something similar with critiques of genetically-modified foods. Let's make this square: If you are for GMO product labeling, you are not out of step with the "scientific consensus" that GMO's are safe for humans. Frankly, I'm willing usually accept scientific consensus on just about everything, but when you're so deathly afraid of labeling, what does that say about your agenda? Many great Americans-- Upton Sinclair and Ralph Nader, to name two-- worked their asses off in service to the cause of consumer product labeling.
