The Duke of Funk
We lost George Duke during 2013, the same year I got to see him perform at NOLA JazzFest with Stanley Clarke. Enjoy this clip of George in Tokyo in 1983, playing the biggest hit he ever penned. He also funked up Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall" album and played with Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, and Dianne Reeves.
