Tony LaRussa announced his retirement as manager of the World Champion Cardinals this morning. You can watch him talk about that, and about the Cardinals' amazing season, tonight on Letterman. And as a holiday bonus on Dave-- kids Halloween costumes. Tony is the third-winningest manager in baseball history and the only two men ahead of him on the all-time list were born, respectively, in 1862 and 1873.Simultaneously this evening, Cardinals third baseman, and NLCS and World Series MVP, David Freese will be on with Jay Leno. The Freese segment will be followed by "Headlines" or "Jaywalking" or some shit.
