Garvey and the Penguin
Two great former ballplayers are headed to Des Moines this weekend. Members of the 1981 World Champion Dodgers, Ron Cey and Steve Garvey, will be signing autographs at the Bob Feller Museum in Van Meter on Saturday. Details here.Now you know as much as I do, except for the fact that Iowa Sports Connection president Mike Rickord, who hosts a Saturday morning show on KXNO Radio, has graciously asked "The Baseball Show" hosts Ross Peterson and me to represent him in Van Meter. More details to come tomorrow, including air times and possible re-broadcast information about our show Sunday night.
Notice also, on the first link, that Bud Selig will be on-hand for the Feller Museum's 10th Anniversary celebration in June. Keep your fingers crossed for "the Baseball Show."
